Japan Logotherapist Association Bylaws
Article 1. Name
The name of this organization shall be the Japan Logotherapist Association (JLA).
Article 2. Purpose and Activities
With the aim to educate Logotherapists and promote Logotherapy in Japan, this organization conducts following activities.
a. To hold a Logotherapist Lecture Meeting open to the public annually to provide Logotherapists with an occasion to present results of their study and to exchange opinions among participants.
b. To periodically publish results of case studies of Regular members.
c. To maintain a liaison and exchanges with foreign researchers and institutes.
d. To plan and organize a study trip to Vienna.
Article 3. Chairperson and Membership
Section 1. Chairperson
The founding chairperson shall be Kayao Katsuta, a Logotherapist certified by the South Germany Logotherapy Institute.
Section 2. Honorary Members
Honorary Members shall be those who are recommended by the chairperson or a regular member for their contribution to Logotherapy in Japan, and are approved by the chairperson and the secretariat.
Section 3. Regular Members
Those who meet the following conditions may be a Regular Member: to pass the qualification examination for C-class logotherapist after completing introductory course of Logotherapy Seminar given by Kayao Katsuta; and to be qualified as B-class Logotherapist after completing the supervision course of Logotherpy Seminar.
Section 4. Associate Members
Those who fulfilled the following conditions may be an Associate Member: to pass the qualification examination for C-class logotherapist after completing introductory course of Logotherapy Seminar given by Kayao Katsuta.
Section 5 Support Members
Those who meet the following conditions may be a Support Member: to have understanding of and interest in Logotherapy, and to intend to support activities of the JLA.
Article 4. Membership Dues
The JLA members shall pay dues, which shall be used to operate the organization. The due shall be 1,000 yen per lot. A Regular Member shall pay 3 lots or more every year, an Associate Member 2 lots or more, and a Support Member a lot or more. A Honorary Member shall not pay due. The fiscal year starts on April 1st and ends on March 31. Annual dues shall be paid by the end of fiscal year prior to each annual year.
Article 5. Privilege of Members
Section 1.
Members can enroll themselves in the mailing list of Japan Logotherapist Association.
Section 2.
Regular Members may attend introductory course or supervision of Logotherapy Seminar at a student rate. Associate Members may attend introductory course of Logotherapy Seminat at a student rate. Honorary members may attend any course of Logotherapy Seminar for free.
Article 6..Japan Logotherapist Association Journal
Section 1.
Japan Logotherapist Association Journal shall be published annually in principle.
Section 2.
Main feature of the journal shall be these articles made for qualification of B-class Logotherapist by C-class Logotherapists who completed Supervision Course of Logotherapy Seminar.
Section3.
The production cost for the journals shall be covered with sale proceeds of the journals, membership dues, revenue from lecture meetings and donation. (The deficit amount shall be covered with borrowed money from the Logotherapy Seminar secretariat. )
Article 7. Audit and Audit Report
All revenue from annual dues, open lecture meeting and others shall be uses only for the purposes of the JLA. The audit shall be reported to all members annually.
Article 8. Secretariat
The association shall have the secretariat to organize and manage its operations. The secretariat shall be designated by recommendation of the chairperson in principle among Regular Members and Associate Members who are appropriate for the role and win the confidence from the members for the job.
Article 9. Date of Establishment
The association shall be established on August 24. 2008. Supplementary Provisions 1. The bylaws shall be enforced on Augut 24, 2008. 2. Revised bylaws shall be enforced on January 1, 2016.
